Emily Drake

(She/Her)

Academically speaking, I hold Bachelor’s degrees in advertising and professional writing from Michigan State University, where I achieved minors to complement each in public relations and editing and publishing, respectively. In 2018, I added a communications certificate from DePaul University to my roster and I am currently studying screenwriting at Second City. Back in my intern days, I worked on sponsorship events like ESPN College GameDay and the 2010 Izzone Campout, supported public relations efforts for Michael Moore's 5th and 6th annual Traverse City Film Festival, executed bookings and media relations for concerts across the U.S. with Meridian Entertainment Group, and even helped found a magazine at the university that still runs today — VIM Magazine.

Since those days, I’ve gone on to expand my skills into the digital, event, and content marketing worlds. My business approach is a creative one that thrives off of passion and teamwork, and I have over 12 years of experience working with clients to prove it. Whether it’s crafting thoughtful content strategy, producing the perfect podcast episode, building and enhancing a brand’s social media footprint, or seeing an event campaign through from start to finish, I strive for the best results and work hard to get them.

I balance my day job with personal projects and creative outlets, such as reading, cooking, podcasting (I occasionally host a show you’ll find on the podcast page), and a rotating list of crafts — weaving, adult coloring, etc. — as well as through philanthropy: I’ve volunteered with StreetWise Inc., Chicago Canine Rescue, and the Providence Soup Kitchen, and serve on the associate board for Cinema/Chicago (the organization behind the Chicago International Film Festival). I am also more than a little obsessed with my dog Audrey, who is a prominent feature on my Instagram.

Enough about me, though. How can I help you?
